Many plans look convincing in a room and disappear in the calendar that follows. The difference is not more detail—it is a clearer connection between strategic choices and the decisions teams make every week.

Name the trade-offs

A priority only guides action when people know what it takes precedence over. Make the choices visible, including the work you will deliberately defer.

Give teams a useful test

Translate each strategic objective into a question people can ask when a new request arrives. The answer should help them decide, not send them looking for another document.

Review evidence, not activity

Use a short regular review to ask whether customer or business outcomes are changing. A long list of completed tasks is not proof that the strategy is working.
